Emotional action teleplay “Sanctuary” first appearance for the media

On June 8, “Sanctuary” crews were sighted in Shanghai Television Festival. Manufacturers, China International Television Corporation and China Radio, Film and Television Programs Exchanging Center and chief players, Wu Qilong and Li Yixiao appeared on the scene. The teleplay was shot in Hengdian, Zhejiang and the first news conference arouses much concern about the media.

The emotional action teleplay, “Sanctuary” describes the story in the Republic of China era that unknown heroes struggle for overall national interest. In 1920s of Shanghai, the situation was treacherous and changeable. Three brothers, Liu Moyun, Li Jieyang and Jiang Zhihao representing black and white moved about freely and quickly in Shanghai Beach to realize their ideals of childhood, create a peaceful and joyful era, they put up a good fight with Japanese and at last they saved Shanghai, protected compatriots and bitterly paid for it.

Ma Runsheng, the General Manager of China Radio, Film and Television Programs Exchanging Center accepted the media interview and said, “Sanctuary” is based on the famous comics story in Japan and oriented in “Action situation teleplay with epic pattern”. The teleplay has dense meaning of education in patriotism, lots of idols are invited and many fashionable classical elements are added on shooting means so that the teleplay is fashionable and massy.

The teleplay concentrates pop stars from the mainland, Taiwan and Hongkong and has strong cast. Wu Qilong and Li Wei play sworn brothers in different camps but with common ideal. One is closed and canny and the other is cheesy and arbitrary. They love Song Xiaohe, the heroine played by Li Yixiao, and then deduced a series of affecting story and emotional relation. Li Yixiao is the movie star presently hot on television, “Jing Shu” played by Li Yixiao in hot teleplay “San Guo” is astounding.
