From October 24 to 28, 2011, teamed up with CCTV’s Chief Editor’s Office and the Documentary Channel, CITVC/CHNPEC has successfully beat the sales target at the TIFFCOM 2011 taking place in Tokyo.
At the TIFFCOM marketplace, elaborately-made Chinese costume dramas such as the Glamorous Imperial Concubine, the Qin Empire II, as well as documentaries like When the Louvre meets the Forbidden City have received considerable popularity among the clients. Meanwhile, the Tokyo International Film Festival(TIFF)was concurrently held (Oct.22-30), during which the delegation has attended the opening ceremony of its Chinese Film Week. Li Wei, Deputy Director of the State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT) has spoken highly of the Corporation’s performance at the ceremony. In addition, the delegation has visited NHK and Fuji, the two largest TV stations in Japan, and discussed with them over the possibilities of collaborations on documentary co-producing, purchasing and selling. Much more achievements have been made as the Corporation has discussed with TV Tokyo on the cooperation of documentary Collected Biographies of Overseas Chinese, in Japan and carried out in-depth discussion with ACC on the specific details of co-producing TV series Almost a Love Story.
