Outstanding Marketing Results Achieved in Cannes TV Spring Festival

From 12 April through 16 April, 2010, CCTV’s Chief Editor’s Office, China Radio, Film & Television Programs Exchange Center/China International Television Corporation, jointly organized a team to participate in the 49th Cannes TV Spring Festival, and achieved the new record of marketing Chinese TV programs to oversea market in the Festival. Chinese film and TV programs such as Biography of Sun Zi, Beauty’s Scheme (TV dramas), Wall Street, Design for 2010 World Expo (documentary films), and Moose Treasure Map (cartoon) were well received by extensive oversea customers, and the total amount of the contracts for purchasing and distributing film and TV programs grew over 30% from previous year’s level. Moreover, we held negotiations on co-producing documentary films and TV dramas with ZDF, NHK, and Al Jazeera TV, jointly organized the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement and press conference with Mexico’s Televisa TV, jointly organized the documentary film release reception with France’s ICTV, and convened the seminar on co-producing documentary films with USA’s Venivision. All these activities achieved complete success.
