NATPE TV Festival global marketing achieved the best results in decade

From January 25 to 27, 2010, China Radio, Film & Television Programs Exchanging Center and China International Television Corporation attended the NATPE TV Festival on behalf of CCTV, and achieved the best marketing results in last decade. Confronted by such negative situations as reduced number of exhibitions and drastic decrease of purchasers brought by the financial crisis, our global marketing personnel made positive exploration, and made a series of substantial progresses in cooperation with mainstream media of the U.S., new media market development, customer development in Latin America, and in-depth cooperation in Chinese channels, etc. The TV series The Legend Of Bruce Lee and Schemes of a Beauty, documentaries Yoga, Song of Forest, Touring China, and Travel Guide, and animation Romance of the Three Kingdoms, etc. created favorable returns. In addition, the program Growth with Chinese Language to be shot by us has also drawn positive attentions from overseas customers in the presentation.

During the exhibition, the global marketing team still conducted discussion with NATPE organizing committee on strengthening mutual cooperation in TV festival and exhibition and promoting the exchange between American market and Asian market; and made field survey of the progress of the program regarding the entry of Chinese audiovisual products into Wal-Mart of the U.S., learning that the first batch of 5,000 units of 12-episode The Imperial Palace DVD products are expected to formally put into market by means of Wal-Mart supermarkets, libraries, and institutions of higher learning across America in early April.
