Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Financial Support in the Export of Film and T

On the afternoon of August 26, the Strategic Cooperation Signing Ceremony between the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and the Export-Import Bank of China and Elaboration Conference on Financial Support in Export of Film and Television Programs,” was held in Beijing Exhibition Center, an important event in the 8th China International Film & TV Programs Exhibition. According to the signed Cooperation Agreement on Supporting and Cultivating the Key Export Enterprises and Projects of Radio, Film and Television Programs, the Export-Import Bank of China is to provide at least RMB 20 billion or equivalent number of foreign exchanges to radio, film and television enterprises within the coming five-year cooperation period, offering various financial products and services to help the export of film and television programs.  Tian Jin (Deputy Director General of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television) and Zhu Xinqiang (Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of China) attended the signing ceremony.   

Tian Jin (Deputy Director General of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television) talked about the significance of signing the Agreement. It will inject film and television cultural enterprises with new momentum to expand the international cultural market with the help of financial platform and capital market. In addition, it will benefit the further development of those companies that will enhance their cultural products’ quality and their brand effect. Therefore, it will exert far-reaching influence in terms of contributing to the international market share of Chinese cultural products and services and the soft power and popularity of the Chinese culture. He hoped that those companies would grasp the opportunity and export more Chinese film and television programs by deeply understanding and making full use of the financial support provided by the Agreement. 

In his speech, Zhu Xinqiang (Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of China) focused on the role of the Bank. As a key channel of policy financing for supporting the “Going Out” policy, the Bank will eagerly launch various financial products to help the export of radio, film and television cultural programs and help companies in the sector enter the international market. It will promote the international competitiveness and the influence of the Chinese culture, contributing to the transformation of the cultural industry development mode, prosperity of the cultural industry and popularity of radio, film and television programs in the world. 

After the signing ceremony, the Strategic Cooperation Agreement including its major contents, specific requirements for loans application and working procedures was elaborated on by staff in charge of relevant business activities from the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and the Export-Import Bank of China. 

Over 100 people participated in the singing ceremony and the Elaboration Conference, consisting of leaders from the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and its regional branches (like Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, etc.) and the Export-Import Bank of China, and delegates from some key export enterprises. After the Conference, they visited China International Film & TV Programs Exhibition. The signing ceremony was undertaken by the organizing committee of the Exhibition.
